Vajrakilaya manifests with three heads, six arms, and four legs, his primary hands cradling his consort Khorlo Gyedunma and brandishing the magic phurba dagger. The lower blade signifies skillful means, while the upper handle embodies wisdom. The tri-edged blade symbolically severs the root delusions of hatred, ignorance, and desirous attachment, embracing the realization of emptiness.

Vajrakilaya's right-hand grasps five- and nine-pronged vajras, showcasing his indestructible power. The left-hand holds a flaming triple wish-fulfilling jewel and a trident, symbolizing the abandonment of delusions in the three realms. Adorned with an elephant skin across his back, Vajrakilaya signifies the renunciation of self-grasping ignorance, while the diagonal human skin reflects the conquest of self-cherishing ego. A tiger skin loin cloth denotes the abandonment of hatred, and a necklace of severed human heads represents the transcendence of ordinary appearances and conceptions.

Embraced passionately by Vajrakilaya, his consort Khorlo Gyedunma dons a crown adorned with five human skulls, symbolizing the purification of the five aggregates. Holding a skullcup filled with the blood of the four maras, she signifies the experience of the clear light of bliss and the triumph over uncontrolled death. Together, they stand in the warrior's pose, surrounded by the blazing fire of exalted wisdom, annihilating delusions and consuming neurotic states.
