Collection: STATUES & CRAFTS
The art of Nepalese sculpture is well-known for its expertise in creating small religious figures and ritual objects, mainly using bronze or copper alloy. However, this sculptural tradition goes beyond these materials. The Newar community in Nepal, in particular, has a deep specialization in producing intricately detailed small bronze figures, mostly of religious and Buddhist significance. These sculptures are skillfully crafted and have enjoyed a longstanding reputation. Many centuries of significant exportation of numerous pieces to India and Tibet have established their popularity.
