This is an original hand-painted Palden Lhamo Tibetan Thangka Painting from Nepal. Palden Lhamo, also known as Shri Devi in Sanskrit, is a protector deity in Tibetan Buddhism. She is considered the principal female protector of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and is revered for her fierce and wrathful nature.

Palden Lhamo is often depicted as a fearsome figure, with a blue-black complexion and a crown of skulls. She rides a mule and carries various symbolic implements, such as a trident, a skull cup filled with blood, and a noose. Her fierce appearance and attributes symbolize her ability to subdue negative forces and protect the Dharma.

As a protector deity, Palden Lhamo is invoked for assistance in overcoming obstacles, spiritual challenges, and external threats to Buddhist teachings.
