Paubha or Pauva is a traditional painting of the Newar communities, original dwellers of Kathmandu valley. Paubhas are mainly religious paintings, depicting deities, mandalas, or monuments, and also are the object of meditation. The Paubha is similar to Tibetan Thangkas.
