This is a Master Quality Guru Shakti Tibetan Thangka Painting with high-quality silk brocade. Padmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche is illustrated, embracing his concert Mandarava seated on a lotus seat in deep blue water. He holds a vajra in his right hand and a skullcap and he embraces his consort with his left hand. Mandarava or Machik Drubpai Gyalmo, or Pandaravasini was one of the two principal consorts of Padmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche, a founder-figure of Tibetan Buddhism. Mandarva is described as the second Most Important Female Buddha' by many Buddhist practitioners. She is considered to be a female guru-deity in Tantric Buddhism( Vajrayana.)
