Hand-painted Master Quality Manjushri/ Manjushree, God of Divine Wisdom, Original Tibetan Thangka Painting Framed with Premium Silk
This exceptional Thangka features an original, hand-painted depiction of Manjushri, the revered Bodhisattva known as the "God of Divine Wisdom." Skillfully bordered with premium silk, this artwork not only captures the divine essence of Manjushri but also serves as a conduit for wisdom and intelligence through devoted worship. Manjushri, appearing in various Tantric forms within Tibetan Buddhism, holds a special place in the hearts of followers seeking enlightenment.
Legend has it, as recounted in the Swayambhu Purana, that the Kathmandu Valley was once submerged beneath a lake. In a transformative act, Manjushri perceived a lotus flower at the lake's center. To render the valley habitable, Manjushri, in a symbolic gesture, cleaved a gorge at Chovar, enabling the lake's drainage. The site where the lotus flower settled became the revered Swayambhunath Stupa, signifying the metamorphosis of the valley into an inhabitable and spiritually significant space.
