Original Hand-painted Vajarapani, Sangdag Chagna Dorje, Tibetan Thangka Painting with Silk Brocade

This is a Vajrapani Thangka with silk brocade. The Vajrapani is regarded as one of the Eight Heartsons of Shakyamuni Buddha. The Vajrapani is usually shown in a wrathful form and known as Guhyapati - 'the Lord of Secrets.' He is said to be the main holder of all the Tantra teachings received from the Shakyamuni Buddha.
