This is an original hand-painted 24k Gold Jambhala or Kuber Tibetan Thangka painting. Jambhala is a god of wealth who blesses pure Dharma practitioners by removing poverty and the gift of wealth and abundance. Jambhala's blessings enable practitioners to attain spiritual realizations without a lack of resources. According to the Sutras, Jambhala appeared before the Buddha to protect him from demons trying to disturb and confuse him. The Buddha recognized Jambhala's courageous action and asked him if he would like to become a Dharma Protector to help all sentient beings. Jambhala accepted the Buddha's offer and has since offered immediate assistance to all who call his name or chant his mantra. His blessings bestow good luck, increase virtues, prolong life, increase intelligence, and provide material and spiritual benefits.

There are five Jambhalas, each with its special significance and attributes. The Yellow Jambhala is the most common form and is depicted with a crown, silk garments, and beautiful gold and jeweled ornaments. He is seated imperially upon a throne, with a Bijapuraka (citron) fruit in his right hand and a mongoose in his left hand. The mongoose constantly spews precious jewels and treasures, representing Jambhala's victory over the Nagas. On the bottom are two deities: Green Tara and Palden Lhamo.

The White Jambhala is born from the right eye of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, also known as the manifestation of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. According to the sutra, his mantra can stop suffering, destroy lousy karma, and have bodhicitta or mind. His mantra can also avert disaster and sickness. He also brings wealth to all sentient beings by chanting his mantra. The Tibetan name is "Dzambhala Gapee," which means white dzambhala. White Jambhala sits on a snow lion, although some artists depict him seated on a dragon, and in his left hand, there is also a mongoose that spits out precious diamonds and ornaments.

The Black Jambhala is the manifestation of Buddha Akshobhaya and is also called the chief of the five great Jambhalas, as he is said to have given people wealth and happiness. He is also known as one of the Hindu gods of wealth, Kubera. Those who chant his mantra will get wealth; if one has any wishes, he will fulfill them and bring happiness. Black Jambala has two mantras. Black Jambala usually stands upon a corpse, holding Mongoose in his left hand and Kapala in his right. He is black in color.

The Red Jambhala is the manifestation of Vajrasattva. He has two faces and four arms and holds a treasury mongoose in his left hand. The Tibetan name for him is "Dzambhala Mapo." If one chants his mantra sincerely, one will be protected by him and gain wealth, leading a perfect life and becoming famous. Red Ganpati is also worshipped as Red Jambhala.

The Green Jambhala is the manifestation of Amoghasiddhi Buddha, who is green in color. Green Dzambhala vowed before Buddha Sakyamuni to protect anyone who chanted his mantra or his name. It is best to chant the mantra sincerely in one's heart when one has difficulties. This practice will enable all endeavors to be perfectly accomplished and purify all bad luck and obstacles, preventing theft, bad debts, and loss of wealth.
