Hand Painted Original Yamantaka with His Consort High-Quality Tibetan Thangka Painting/ wall hanging with Silk Brocade
Yamantaka serves as a protective deity against adversaries and is revered as a Buddhist Guardian god. Portrayed with a Buffalo head, Yamantaka embodies the wrathful manifestation of Manjushri, showcasing his complete and forceful abilities. His visage comprises seven fierce heads, with a central buffalo head surrounded by another angry head and Manjushri's nine faces, 34 hands, and 16 legs. The depiction includes distinctive features such as fiery red hair ending in scorpion-shaped tips, an open mouth revealing fangs, and a protruding tongue craving blood and diverse sensations. Notably, a third eye rests in the center of the forehead, while knitted eyebrows and raised features convey intense emotion.
Adorning the crown is a serene head of the Bodhisattva Manjusri, from whom Yamantaka emanates ferociously. His primary hands wield a chopping knife and a human skull bowl, embracing a consort. Other hands clasp various implements, including knives, axes, ritual bells, human feet, vajra-shaped daggers, tiger's paws, fifty freshly severed heads, and menacing pointing fingers. Additionally, he embraces the consort Vajra Vetali, who holds a skullcup in her left hand.
The right legs of Bhairava press upon animals and gods, while the extended left legs subdue birds and deities. This formidable figure stands upon an orange sun disc atop a multi-colored lotus surrounded by the fiery red and orange flames of pristine awareness. Adjacent to the lotus seat lies a skull cup filled with an array of offerings.
